Vitamin B12

What is Vitamin B12?
It’s a vital vitamin needed for a long list of bodily functions. Vitamin B12 is necessary for the formation of red blood cells that carry oxygen and nutrients around our bodies. It’s also important for your immune health, normal psychological function, and normal energy−yielding metabolism. While small amounts of vitamin B12 can be stored in the liver, deficiency is relatively common. In the UK, 6 % of those under 60 years and up to 20 % of those over 60 years are deficient in vitamin B12. In vegan and vegetarians, the rate of deficiency in the UK is around 11 %.
Why is ours better?
Our improved formulation uses the methylcobalamin form of vitamin B12 as a natural alternative that is found in foods and the human body, replacing the more commonly used cyanocobalamin. This also results in a much smaller, easy−to−swallow tablet. To help safeguard against deficiencies, we’ve created a high strength, one−a−day Vitamin B12 tablet that is also easy to swallow. Each tablet contains 1000 micrograms – that’s equivalent to 40000 NRV!
Who is this for?
The ability to absorb vitamin B12 can decline with age, among other factors such as health conditions and certain medications. Vegetarians and vegans can also be at risk of a B12 deficiency, as dietary sources are most often found in meat, fish, dairy and eggs. This supplement is ideal for anyone who may not be getting, or absorbing, enough of this vitamin from their diet.
